Seamus Kelly worked for many years in the well drilling industry before he founded his well drilling & pumping test company in 1979.

His first drilling rig was a R.B –22 percussion rig, ( pounder )

And his first generator for running the pumping tests was an old twin cylinder lister with a cranking handle !

Seamus’s 3 Sons joined the business as they came of age together with long standing employee’s.

Aaron, Seamus’s eldest son joined the business in 1989.followed by Shay in 1990 and Paddy in 1995.

Between them, the business grew.

But as the business grew, so did the equipment.

Kelly Drilling now use a Dril-tech 25 air rotary rig with a drilling depth of over 200 metres & drilling diameters from 130mm to 250mm.

Only the best materials are used to construct the wells we drill.

The pumping test service we offer is one of the best in the Country.

We are capable of pumping wells up to 5000 m3/day with lowara submersible pumps on steel rising main up to 6” in diameter & with Wellmaster hose up to 4” in diameter.

We use the latest technology to measure flow & water level, incorporating the use of Mag-flow water meters,

levelloggers & manual electronic dip meters.

Pumping tests are powered by our range of 10 generators,

All super-silent, varying from 20 k.v.a  - 120 k.v.a

We have experienced technicians who  remain on-site for the duration of any given test in specially equipped mobile units.

We have worked for most County Councils in the Country, and also with some of the largest  companies, such as Celtic Linen, Wexford Block, Glenpatrick spring water & Dublin Zoo.

We have worked with many of the country’s leading Hydrologists & Consultants, such as White Young Green, Tobin Environmental Services, Jenning’s O’Donavan, R.P.S,J.B Barry & Partners, S.M Bennett & G.E.S ltd.

We have also been involved in some of the largest Well Drilling / pumping test contracts in this country as pumping test sub-contractors to Irelands leading large diameter well drillers, such as Patrick Briody & Sons, Rathdangan, Co.Kildare

Dunnes Water Services, Dundalk, Co.Louth, Tom Briody & Son, Kells, Co.Meath.

We are C2 Registered & Fully Insured.
